Player Eligibility is based on their birth date
Details:
U-15 Age Definition:
Players may not be 15 years of age before December 31, 2009 to be eligible for the 2010 Chocolatetown Shootout. Accordingly, players who turn 15 after December 31, 2009 are eligible.
U-13 Age Definition:
Players may not be 13 years of age before December 31, 2009 to be eligible for the 2010 Chocolatetown Shootout. Accordingly, players who turn 13 after December 31, 2009 are eligible.
U-11 Age Definition:
Players may not be 11 years of age before December 31, 2009 to be eligible for the 2010 Chocolatetown Shootout. Accordingly, players who turn 11 after December 31, 2009 are eligible.
U-9 Age Definition:
Players may not be 9 years of age before December 31, 2009 to be eligible for the 2010 Chocolatetown Shootout. Accordingly, players who turn 9 after December 31, 2009 are eligible.
All players must be age appropriate. Age is
determined by calendar year. Coaches must be
prepared to present age verification at all
times during the tournament.
Failure to produce age verification (within a
time period specified by the tournament
committee) may result in the game in which the
challenge took place being declared a forfeit
and any other games played until verification is
produced will be recorded as forfeits. If a
team is challenged, and is found not to have a
roster on file with the tournament committee,
all games played up to the challenge maybe declared
forfeits.
Tourney staff may grant age waivers for players at their discretion- traditionally waivers are granted for U-11 & U-9 players born in the subject December.
